Hannah earned her bachelor’s degree in GIS and ecosystem management and forestry from the University of California at Berkeley, where she conducted fire history research in the Stephens Fire Science Laboratory, created outreach materials for the California Fire Science Consortium, and worked as a forestry technician in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Hannah then joined the Informatics and GIS team of University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources, creating custom maps and teaching materials for GIS workshops. Prior to joining Audubon Canyon Ranch, she worked with the Alameda County and Contra Costa Resource Conservation Districts as a Fire Specialist and Wildfire Conservation Coordinator. While there, Hannah supported the ongoing development of a Regional Priority Plan for the East Bay that aims to protect natural resources from the negative impacts of high severity wildfire.
