Erika is a heart-centered artist, educator, and storyteller dedicated to the care of the natural world and the wilderness within. She joins the Fire Forward team to cultivate community resilience through mutual understanding of the effect that fire carries in our hearts, minds, and sense of home. Bringing a professional background of over 20 years creating educational games, Erika uses interactive stories and learning experiences for social good. Lost in Forestville is their body of creative work designed to help people slow down and reconnect to the heart of what makes us human in a more-than-human world. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in communication art and design, is a certified UC Naturalist, and trained in ecopsychology, mindful awareness, restorative justice, and trauma informed care certificate programs. Erika is a founding board member of the Forestville Fire Safe Council and serves on the Sonoma County Firewise Leadership Council.
