Claire McMurtry

Associate Director

Claire comes to ACR by way of a career devoted to environmental education, youth development, and conservation. She has worked for over 20 years as an environmental educator, program manager, grants manager, and development director, with a focus on increasing equity and inclusion in the outdoors. She holds a bachelor's degree in botany from Humboldt State University. Most recently, Claire was the development manager for the Sonoma County nonprofit LandPaths, and prior to that worked with YES Nature to Neighborhoods, Vida Verde Nature Education, and in Point Reyes National Seashore. Claire brings to her work a love of wild places, an affinity for spreadsheets, and an affection for well-oiled machines—both literal and figurative.
