Post Kincade wildfire land stewardship tour for affected landowners - receive expert advice on how to manage lands recently affected by wildfire.

Subjects will include:

  • Erosion control of burned lands and dozer lines
  • Best practice around hazard trees
  • Road maintenance and culvert repair
  • Invasive species control come spring
  • To log or not to log
  • Forest management in the coming years
  • How to do it yourself or how to hire contractors
  • Tour of private land that burned in the Kincade fire

Location: Meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Jimtown Store, 6706 CA-128, Healdsburg, CA 95448. From there we will carpool to private landowners' land affected by the Kincade fire.

Time:  Wednesday, December 11, 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Cost: Free to those affected by the Kincade, Tubbs or Nuns fire. Suggested donation for those non-affected by wildfire.

Gear: Dress for light hiking, layers recommended. Bring a water bottle, hat and a way to take notes.

Food: Vegetarian and non-veggie lunch will be provided to workshop participants.
