The Bouverie Preserve is located approximately six miles north of the historic town of Sonoma in the Valley of the Moon near the village of Glen Ellen.

Due to the distruction of all infrastructure during the Nuns Fire, the preserve is closed until futher notice. We look forward to welcoming you back on the preserve once the debris has been removed and the trails are deemed safe. Learn more about the fire here: egret.org/fire


FROM THE NORTH: Drive southeast from Santa Rosa on Highway 12 for about 12 miles. Pass the turnoff to Glen Ellen (Arnold Drive) and proceed for 1/3 mile. The Bouverie Preserve sign and entrance are on the left.

FROM THE SOUTH: Drive approximately 6 miles north of Sonoma on Highway 12. Passing Madrone Road, continue for 1 1/2 miles. Just after Sonoma Valley Regional Park and mile marker 31.00, look for the Bouverie Preserve sign and entrance on the right.

Continue through the gate and up the driveway to the parking lot.

Parking is limited, carpooling is encouraged.
