Promoting a conservation ethic in people of all ages is central to our mission of Conservation in Action. Audubon Canyon Ranch offers exploration and learning opportunities for nature enthusiasts of all ages on three of its preserves: the Martin Griffin Preserve, the Bouverie Preserve and the Modini Mayacamas Preserves.

Join us on the preserves to explore seasonal changes, observe nesting birds and migrating newts, learn about native peoples' use of the land, hike past wildflower meadows and through redwood groves. Visitation is limited on all three preserves in order to ensure that human impact is kept in balance with land and habitat preservation goals.

Wildflower Friday

Audubon Canyon Ranch Event Calendar

Wildflower Friday

Feb 24 2017 - 9:00am to 3:00pm
Modini Mayacamas Preserves
Join ACR Resource Ecologist Dave Self on an excursion to see and photograph (or sketch, paint, or write about) wildflowers on the Modini Mayacamas Preserves. You're encouraged to share your best for a 'flower show' the next day at ACR's Conservation Center. Dave will coach beginners on close-up flower photography using a smart phone. You'll also learn about the ecology of the wildflowers, their pollinators, and their uses by wildlife and people.

Recurs monthly through August.

$20 per person suggested donation. Contributions support the preservation, education and conservation science programs of Audubon Canyon Ranch. All donations are greatly appreciated!
