This application must be submitted no later than Wednesday, May 11, 2016. All teachers will be notified in writing whether or not we can accommodate their classes. If your class is selected, please plan to be present during both the classroom visit and on the trail during the field trip. Because bus reservations can be difficult to get, we strongly recommend you make them immediately upon receipt of your field trip confirmation.

Dear Suzie, You were a great docent! I really enjoyed finding the newts, banana slugs, quails, chipmunk and the blue bellied lizard. My favorite flower that I saw was the one that looked like a fried egg. I really enjoyed hiking on the trails. You taught me a lot! I hope I have another field trip to Audubon Canyon Ranch!”

ACR offers a wonderful opportunity for my students to learn about nature while having a great time outdoors. The material they will learn will fit well with Conservation Connection Program of Longfellow School. Participation in the ACR program will allow some of my students to have their first hands-on chance at studying nature in a rural area.”
