On October 6,2006 the Bolinas Lagoon Preserve Docent Council was presented the Hannah Creighton Environmental Award from the Sierra Club of Marin.

On March 4, 2006, the Bouverie Preserve Docents of Audubon Canyon Ranch received the 2006 award for "Outstanding Environmental Program" at the 30th Annual Environmental Awards Dinner co-sponsored by the Sonoma County Conservation Council and the Sierra Club. Certificates of recognition were received from the CA State Assembly, the CA State Senate, and Representative Lynn Woolsey.

The Quercus Quire, a group of singing volunteer docents from Bolinas Lagoon Preserve and Bouverie Preserve, received the Community Service Award to Schools from the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County for bringing the message of ecological stewardship to over 2,700 school children each year, 2002

Diane Lafrenz, Bolinas Lagoon Preserve Docent was named Volunteer of the Week for her volunteer service to Audubon Canyon Ranch, Marin Independent Journal, April 10, 2002

Maurice A. "Skip" Schwartz, ACR's Executive Director received a Resolution of Commendation from the Marin County Board of Supervisors for his years of service as Chair of the Bolinas Lagoon Technical Advisory Committee, March, 1997

ACR's Bolinas Lagoon Preserve and Cypress Grove were declared a unit of the UN Central California Coast Biosphere Reserve, Man and the Biosphere Programme, 1993
